Just a few steps and that’s it
Here’s what you need to know about returning IT equipment (laptops and accessories). Before returning equipment, it is important to ensure that the data on the computer to be returned is backed up on OneDrive.
Option 1: Return equipment in person to the work site
The return of equipment in person is mandatory, except in certain exceptional cases (see option 2 for details).
You have one week to return your equipment, following the steps below:
- Identify the appropriate location.
- Go to your selected location and return the equipment.

Option 2: Return equipment by carrier (Purolator)
To be eligible for postal returns, you must meet one of the following conditions:
- Have selected the “Telework at all times” way of working*
- Work as an independent advisor
- Require reduced mobility accommodation
In case of an exception or special request, please contact the Material Resources team by email or by phone at 418-684-5000 ext. 3000.
Follow these steps for carrier returns:
- Obtain the necessary packaging for the return
You’ve received new equipment | You’re leaving the company | You’re now working in person at all times / You have surplus computer equipment to return / You will be away from the company for more than 90 days |

The box you have already received will contain everything you need (protective material and carrier’s return slip). | Please contact the Material Resources team (see Getting Help section below) to request the Equipment Identification and Inventory form and return it to them by email. - Pack material in a single box.
- Put all the equipment to be returned in the same box, and make sure there is enough bubble wrap or paper to protect the equipment during transport.
- If necessary, review/adjust the information on the Equipment Identification and Inventory form and include it in the box.
- Remove the old delivery label from the box and put on the new Purolator sticker received with the box.
- Return the equipment using one of the following three options:
Call Purolator at 1-888-744-7123, specifying that it is for a pick-up. | Drop off the box at an authorized Purolator shipping location. | Get assistance from a Purolator virtual agent. |

To obtain assistance, obtain supplies needed to return computer equipment or return the Equipment Identification and Inventory form:
